
*Important....Something NEW this year...
Scholarships will be awarded to students at PRSEF. In order to be considered,
you must go online and indicate which colleges/universities you would like to
meet at PRSEF.
*Check Mrs. Greco's bulletin board no later than noon on Thursday (March 1).
Check the PRSEF chart and make sure your information is correct.
*If you are eligible for a perseverance trophy and have not completed the
paperwork, you must do so by February 28.
*The fair day schedule can be found on the PRSEF website. Review the
electronic devices policy also.
ISEF
The deadline for submitting papers for ISEF has been extended to March 1.
Any SJHS students wishing to submit their papers to ISEF should give Mrs.
Greco the paper by February 21.
No papers will be submitted without being proofread by Mrs. Greco.
*Abstracts are required to be submitted by email or during online
registration. If submitting by email, please include the abstract in the body
of the email to
prsef@carnegiesciencecenter.org
(include the student's and teacher's name and project title). The abstract is
due Feb. 10, 2012. If you submit the abstract during online registration, you
do not need to submit it by email. If research is still be conducted, the
student can simply state the purpose, hypothesis, procedure and that the final
results will be available at the student's exhibit on Fair Day.
* Perseverance Forms: All students who are eligible for a perseverance
award must complete the Perseverance Award Form,

and submit it to Mrs. Greco no later than Feb. 20.
*Remember to register online no later than January 13, at 5 PM.
*Project ID numbers will be posted online in early March.
*The Fair Day schedule is posted online at
http://www.scitechfestival.org/mainsf_teach_sched.asp. Students need to arrive
between 7a - 9a. You will be expected to meet me at 8:50 AM in the Science
Center lobby.
*Awards Ceremony - Invitations to the awards ceremony on Saturday,
March 31 from 9:30a - 11:30a at Heinz Field will be mailed directly to the
students' home.
***Research students... It is important that you check to see if your
paperwork has been approved. There is a spreadsheet on the bulletin board in
Room 215 (Mrs. Greco's lab). If you are not approved, you need to complete
the necessary paperwork and submit it to Mrs. Greco no later than Thursday,
January 5.
*ALL science research projects must be approved by the PRSEF SRC.
