This is my fourteenth year teaching at St. Joseph’s. The first five years I
taught Pre-K and Kindergarten. This my eighth year teaching third grade. My
years at St. Joseph’s have been happy, positive, and rewarding experiences.
My most rewarding experience about teaching third grade is preparing my class
for the reception of First Eucharist, which takes place in the autumn.
I have been teaching for thirty years. My experiences have
included teaching in public, private, and parochial schools in New Jersey and
Pennsylvania. For six years I had the privilege of serving on The
Archdiocese of Philadelphia’s Early Childhood Curriculum Committee. I was
also a master teacher in Pre-Kindergarten religion for The New Teacher
Induction Program. Many years ago I graduated from Holy Family College with
a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Elementary Education.
I have been happily married for thirty-five years to my husband Bob, and I
have two terrific sons, Rob and Mark. We also have a tropical turtle, a
bearded dragon lizard, and tropical fish for pets.
My hobbies include walking, playing tennis, swimming, reading, collecting
children’s literature, and playing the piano. I enjoy spending time in Ship
Bottom, New Jersey, and Tucson, Arizona visiting my parents. During the
summer, I also spend time taking classes for teacher personal development to
keep my teacher certification active, and swimming laps at Hidden Hollow Swim
Club!
My Teaching Philosophy is to create a nurturing classroom environment which
promotes academic and spiritual growth.
