2008-2009 will mark my tenth year teaching within the Archdiocese of
Philadelphia, and my second year at St. Maximilian Kolbe. Prior to teaching
at St. Max, I taught for eight years at two different schools - St. Charles
Borromeo and St. Alice (both in Delaware County). I graduated from Cabrini
College with my bachelor's degree in Elementary Education, and I also have
my Masters of Science in Education from Temple University.
My family and friends are very important to me! I enjoy spending time with
them, along with coaching, and cheering the Flyers, Phillies, and Eagles on
to victory! I absolutely love the BEACH!!!
My first year at St. Max was a wonderful experience! Thank you to everyone
for making that happen!
Becoming a teacher has always been a top priority in my life (even at the
early age of 12, when I was in 6th grade and had a fabulous teacher... who
many of you already know is Mrs. Truitt!)
In conjunction with St. Maximilian Parish School, I believe it is important
to educate the whole child, by focusing on the mind, the body, and the
soul. As an educator it is important for my students to be the best that
they can be! They should always strive to reach for the stars, while
remembering the importance of making good choices, and how those choices
affect others - day in and day out!
It will be our class mission (teacher/students) to promote a safe
environment for learning. Through this learning environment, we can promote
an opportunity for success! Each child has the opportunity to obtain that
success with the help of his/her teacher(s), administration, staff,
parents/guardians, and also by looking inside themselves at the Christian
values that live in each and every one of them! Each child is unique and
has the ability to obtain success as an individual, as a student in the
classroom, and as a member of the entire school community! From there
he/she can certainly make a positive impact on our society!
