February News

The Christmas season is over and, liturgically speaking, we are in Ordinary Time. This can be translated into our everyday life as well. The holiday partying and gift giving is behind us. There are no major celebrations ahead of us. We go about our ordinary daily routines. But it is in those ordinary, quiet times of our lives that God seems to whisper to us and work through us most often. One minor celebration does happen this month: Valentine’s Day. This is a day when we celebrate the love we share with the important people in our lives. As Catholics, daily expressions of love and care for others should be part of the very fabric of our being. Perhaps, we can add to our list of New Year’s resolutions to not let the sun set on our anger, or let a day go by, without telling those we love how lucky we are to have them in our lives.

NEWSFLASH

Sign up for NewsFlash on our website (www.staq.org) and receive an e-mail when school is closed due to snow. NewsFlash is a service provided through Teacherweb. When school is cancelled, I will be able to send an e-mail to all parents who subscribe to the service. This is a free service. However, you will need a password to sign-up. Call the office, ask a teacher… However, I will not put it in print. I do not want children having access to this service.

ENROLLMENT INCENTIVE

Do you know a family that would love to come to St. Thomas Aquinas School? Good News spreads through our families. Beginning with the 2010-2011 school year, if you encourage a family to enroll and they attend our school next year, you will be given a $250 tuition credit against your last tuition payment in April 2011, provided all tuition and fees are up-to-date. Otherwise, you will not be eligible for this incentive.
