Dear Parents,
    Happy new year! Just want you to know that the 8th grade will be working feverishly this trimester. 
We hope to complete reading To Kill a Mockingbird by the end of  this month . There is quite a bit of background info that goes along with the reading so I am having the students read some of the book at home. Please check this site to make sure that they are keeping up with the reading.
We will also begin developing a thesis for our research paper and hope to complete the paper by the end of February. 
Seventh grade will be reading an historical novel in ELA in conjunction with their study of the Revolutionary War in social studies.
Should be a busy winter. I really don't want a snow day!!
