It's a new year and we have many new and exciting things happening at school.  We are working on our winter vocabulary and learning all about things that happen in the winter and what we can do and what we should wear.  The children were excited the first time they could circle snow on their morning worksheet.  It's such a beautiful time of the year and so many fun things to learn!

We continued spirit week with red, white and blue today!  Three students wore red, white and blue and one wore a hat!  We are having so much fun with spirit week!  The students worked hard on their handwriting and language exercise today.  For sensory we played in straws and cut them into small pieces.  Everyone had fun and laughed when the straws would fly out of the sensory table!

Today we worked on our job readiness tasks. Everyone is making progress and improving their time
ontask and completion time. We worked on our money skills counting pennies and nickels. We are
adding pennies and nickels too! Please practice this skill with your child at home.
Our handwriting skills are beginning to show improvements. We are tracing and copying our letters
daily. Our language skills are also showing an improvement as we practice our daily communication log
information. The students are getting really good at filling out their daily reports. Please take time
for homework to review these with your child. It is an important part of their language development
to be communicating what is happening at school with their families at home! Thank you in advance for
your support!
The students and staff had a birthday party for me at snack time! Everyone was so excited! Daniel
even tried cake for the very first time! What a special day it was for me!
