Homework

 
Current: All written homework should be done in pencil unless otherwise noted.                                                       

On Tuesday, April 17 your child's Math Envelope came home with the HW instructions and check list in the folder. This is the math HW for the remainder of the year. Checklist is due back on Wednesday, May 23, but keep the math envelope and games at home to play over the summer.

Ongoing:

Sharing: Sharing topic rotation is complete. thank you for your support of this important oral language skill.

Letter Writing: Congratulations! You have written to every other student in K-B. Now it is time to write that special letter to your friend in K-A. We will mail them on our walking field trip to Narberth on May 30.

Math Envelope:
play the math games three times a week and enter the date on your checklist 
 
May: 
  1.   Practice reading time on the hour from analog and digital clocks.
  2.   Practice counting by 1's to 200. Go higher if that's too easy for you. 
  3.   Practice counting by 10's to 200.
  4.   Practice counting by 5's to 200.
  5.   Practice counting backward from 30 to 0.
  6.   Practice counting 1st, 2nd, 3rd, etc. to 12th (or higher if you wish).
  7.   Remember coin values of penny, nickel, dime, quarters.
  8.   Count coins: pennies by 1's; nickels by 5's; dimes by 10's.
  9.   Try counting combinations of pennies, nickels, and dimes.
  10. Practice adding or subtracting number stories.
  11. Use the math envelope games for practice and review at least three times a week for 15-20 minutes each time.
  12. Use a ruler or tape measure to tell the lengths and widths of things in your house.
