WEEK IN REVIEW

Early Childhood Education
January 30th – February 3rd

Dear Parents,

This week was a busy week.   On Monday we celebrated Teacher Appreciation Day.  Mrs. Sutter and I were welcomed with a Special Breakfast prepared by the Parents.   As always, this class had a festive spirit.   We had an opportunity to visit the library.   Mrs. Morinelli, the school librarian read to us and sang several songs with us. Everyone did a nice job respecting the library rules.

On Tuesday, we celebrated Goundhog Day during circle time.   Most of us voted  that Phil didn't see his shadow. Unfortunately, Phil did see his shadow so we will have six more weeks of winter. On Wednesday we practiced counting our numbers and worked on a sequencing game in pairs.  We completed a sequencing project that included using words big, bigger and biggest.   It was fun to see the students take the concept of big bigger and biggest and related it to other items in our surroundings. Thursday we had our pretend Pizza Parlor open.  We had waiters, customers, cashiers, cooks and bus boys.   Everyone enjoyed themselves in this class center. Friday was Student Appreciation Day. This was a fun filled day. We played Bingo, had a additional recess time and made our own ice cream  sundaes.
