General Information

**Due to peanut allergies our classroom is peanut free.**
WHAT IS SEEDS?
Seeds is a lectionary-based curriculum. Each lesson is built around the theme of the Sunday Gospel. The children hear the Sunday Gospel in their Seeds class, use the illustration to retell it, and explore through stories and activities how they can live the Gospel in their families and communities in ways appropriate to their age.

CHILD OF THE DAY
The Child of the Day is very exciting because it allows the child to assist the
teachers as well as lead the class in daily activities.
Every student will have an opportunity to be the Child of the Day at least once a month
When it is you child's day they are welcome to bring in a share item (no toys). Share item suggestions: Books, Pictures, Snack, etc.

COMMUNITY GATHERINGS

Community Gathering will be this Wednesday at 8:15. Please remember to have your child in school by 8:05 so that he/she will be ready to share in this gathering. Those children who are in the gym will stay there and the rest of the children will walk up with Mrs. Sutter and myself.

H.O.P.E. Lunches

H.O.P.E. stands for Help Other People Eat.

One Wednesday a month, we ask families to make a lunch consisting of a peanut butter and jelly sandwich, a dessert, and a piece of fruit (no drinks). You can decorate the bag if you wish to brighten the person’s day. These lunches are delivered to St Francis Inn, a homeless shelter in Kensington. What a wonderful way to practice the works of Mercy by feeding the hungry and showing mercy to those who are less fortunate.
