PreAlgebra: We are starting Chapter 6 on Ratios and Proportions. We will be dividing the chapter into two principle concepts. We will be starting with identifying ratios, then working with unit rates and then converting rates and measurements. We will then move onto solving proportions and then applying the proportion into everyday situations. Finally we will use scale drawings and models and then similar figures.
7-1 Class: We will be working on Chapter 7 and 8: Geometry and Measurement. We will then move onto Geometry including the basic terms, angles, triangles, quadrilaterals and polygons. We will then move onto area parallelogram and trapezoid before moving onto the area and circumference of a circle. We will then complete geometry with the area of irregular figures.
