Will we be speaking French in class?

Yes! I will be speaking some french to you, and your goal is to
speak french back to me! The high levels 3+4 will be hearing more
french and will be expected to speak more. For these levels, we
will have time frames where no english is spoken whatsoever!

There is no need to feel anxious about speaking french- EVERYONE
in the class is learning and will make mistakes. It is part of
a new language. The more you participate the more you will learn!

Will we have homework?

Yes. You are attempting a HUGE goal: taking on a new language.
This will not come easily, and like anything else in life, takes
practice practice, practice. This means homework 4-5 nights a
week! And yes, it will be part of your grade. Doing the homework
will help you with your test, so set aside a time and crack open
the book each night! You will be glad you did!

Will we be learning about culture in France, too?

Absoloutley. How can you give someone a picture of what going to
France would be like without studying the geography and culture
as well? We will study different places around the world that
speak French, what their life is like, what they eat, how they
celebrate holidays, etc. You're going to love this part of class,
too, because it breaks up the daily grind of grammar.
