Salut! Je m'appelle Mademoiselle et je suis votre professeur! I love
teaching french and I know you'll enjoy learning! During my
time off, I enjoy running, soccer, taking pictures, watching movies and
relaxing with my friends and family.
Some important "ditties" Mrs. Farrell lives by:
1) Dear Students,
*I believe in you.
*I know you can handle life's situations.
*You are listened to
*You are cared for.
*I trust you
* You are imporant to me
Sincerely,
Mademoiselle Farrell
2) What is fair?
* Fair is not everyone being treated equally. We are all different people:
coming from different backgrounds, having had different experiences. We all
need different things to make us feel respected and dignified. We Fair,
then, is not giving everyone the same treatmeant. Fair is giving you what you
need. This is what you can expect from me as your
teacher.
3) "Do unto others as you would expect them to do unto you." - the golden rule
4) Learning a new language takes time. It's not something you are going to
acquire in one year. How long did it take you to learn English? Are you not
STILL learning it? Please be patient with yourself, understand that it takes
time, and your hard work will be rewarded in small joys.
5) Its okay to mess up in French. Its okay to not have 100% perfect
pronunciation, grammar, and spelling -as long as you are working on being the
best you can be, thats all your teacher will expect!! Even authors of English
books hire proofreaders! Let your hard work guide you, and with enough
practice it will become 2nd nature.
6) EVERYBODY has an accent.
The goal for all of my french classes is to have students reading, writing,
listening, and speaking to the best of their abilitiy. You will be learning
what a whole new way of life can be like, so get ready!!
