Classroom Rules:
 
1. Respect the people, equipment, and furnishings of the room.

2. Have all appropriate materials and supplies with you when you enter the classroom, including
writing utensil, textbook, and binder.

3. Raise your hand and wait for permission to speak. Use appropriate and scholarly language at
all times. Do not talk while I am talking!

4. Be seated at your desk when the bell rings and remain in your seat unless you have
permission to do otherwise.

5. Do not interrupt class activities with frequent requests to use the bathroom/water
fountain/nurse.

*As always, observe all rules outlined in the student handbook.

IF YOU CHOOSE TO BREAK A RULE:

First offense: 15-minute teacher detention; completion of action plans
Second offense: 20-minute teacher detention; revision of action plan
Third offense: 30-minute teacher detention; parents notified

Subsequent offenses and/or severe disruptions will result in immediate office referrals.

Disruptions involving three or more students will result in a test for the entire class with
each student’s score counting toward his/her quarterly average.
