When are the PSSAs?

The PSSAs will take place in April this year. We will spend a 
week taking both the math and the reading PSSAs. We work very 
hard in class getting prepared for these tests!

What do we learn in third grade?

We learn MANY things in third grade!  In math, we focus on place 
value, addition/subtraction, geometry, reading/making bar graphs, 
counting money, making change, telling time, elapsed time and 
most of all we will learn and MASTER the basic multiplication 
facts.

In reading we work very hard on comprehension skills such as 
summarizing, cause/effect, predicting, making connections and 
many more!  Also, every child will be participating in literature 
circles throughout the year.
