I received a BS in Human Services from Penn State University in 1984 and  
a teaching certificate from the University of Pittsburgh in 1991.  Continuing 
my education, I earned a Masters Degree in Curriculum and Instruction in 2007 
and a Principal Certificate in December 2008, both from Gannon University.

I substituted for 4 years, K through 12, before being employed by CCSD as a 
permanent teacher.  I taught 4th grade for 3 years, 5th and 6th grade English 
for 4 years, and Kindergarten for 5 years.

Peace in the world begins at home. The classroom is a home and those in it a family; each member is responsible for the peace.

Real learning takes place in an atmosphere of teamwork and cooperation,  
embodying the very spirit of democracy.  Each student is expected to do 
his/her best in an environment where risk taking is encouraged, and mistakes 
are acknowledged as life's finest teachers.  Differentiated instruction 
permits the bar to be set high for all students; every child will learn!
