Classes visit the library on a scheduled weekly basis.
Classes may visit any additional time during week when not occupied
by a scheduled class. Requires teacher sign-up.
Books are checked out for a week and may be renewed two additional
times as long as they have not been reserved.
Books may be put on reserve.
Magazines may be checked out for a week.
Reference materials (encyclopedias, almanacs, dictionaries)-
overnight checkout.
There are no library fines, however, all books must be returned
before checking out other books.
Google Safe Search has been implemented on Links and Links Plus pages. Safe
Search filters search results to remove inappropriate content.
Support the curriculum, incorporating technology as much as possible, and
aligning lessons with PA state standards.
Instill self-confidence in students for research & library skills.
Create a relaxed, friendly, non-competative environment for students
so they can look forward to library class.
Expose students to various genres of literature.
Act as a resource center for teachers,staff and parents.
Supply the necessary technology tools to enhance learning.
Teach safe online-searching techniques.
