Will I receive a progress report(s) from you during the year?

Absolutely. You can expect an update of your grades/absences
halfway through each marking period and at the end of each quarter before
receiving report cards. The Progress Report should be returned each time
with your parent's signature.

Where can I get the homework if I am absent?

There are three things that you can do to get homework assignments: Check it
here on this website, call the homework hotline @655-2836, Ext.2195, or
check on the Homework Board in the back of my room before homeroom when you
return to school.

After being absent, how long do I have to make up a test?

If you are absent the day of the test only, you are expected to make up the
test as soon as you return to class. If you have been absent for an
extended amount of time, you will have a week's grace to take the test. If
you fail to make it up within that week, you will automatically receive a
zero and you will not be given a second chance to make up those points.

Do I lose points if my projects are not handed in/done on the due date?

Without a doubt. You are given up to a week to hand in the project, but
with each day you lose 5 points off you grade (if the project was worth 100
points)up to 25 points. After the fifth day, we would be happy to see that
fabulous project, but you will NOT receive ANY points.

If I am absent, do I have to make up the work I missed?

Making up homework can only help you with understanding the material.
Quizzes are given so frequently, that you do not have to make them up.
Tests and projects have to be made up, but again, there is only one week
grace period.
