A Little Bit about Mrs. Anthony

Welcome! My name is Kara Anthony. I live in West Pittston with my husband
and our rascally doggie, Jack. My husband is also a teacher and a vet
of Operation Iraqi Freedom. I am very proud of him and all of our men and
women in uniform for their dedicated service to our country. This is my
fourth year teaching at Wyoming Area School District. Previously, I have
taught middle school Reading and Spanish. This is my second year teaching
fourth grade. I consider myself very fortunate to be at such a fantastic
school district and teaching my favorite grade level. I am a graduate of
Penn State University where I received a degree in English Literature and I
am also a graduate of Bloomsburg University’s teacher education program. I
am currently pursuing a master's degree in Educational Development and
Strategies at Wilkes University in order to be the best teacher possible. I
will do my best this year to ensure that each child has a safe, motivating
experience in the classroom!

"Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we
are powerful beyond measure. We ask ourselves, Who am I to be brilliant,
gorgeous, talented, fabulous? Actually, who are you NOT to be?" - "Akeelah
and the Bee"

Mission for the Class

My mission for the class is for each individual to feel empowered and to
learn to their fullest potential! I will help every child to foster their
growth as exceptional individuals.
