Attention Students and Parents!

Students taking AP US History in 2011-12.  If you want to get a leg up on the course you can do so by reading the following books this summer.  Note that they are completely voluntary and you will not be tested on them when we return in August.  They are, however, very useful books and will definitely help you understand various parts of the course.  I will discuss each in class.  Whether you want to take the extra step is entirely up to you.

Uncle Tom's Cabin by Harriet Beecher Stowe
How the Other Half Lives by Jacob Riis
My Antonia by Willa Cather
1776 by David McCulloch
American Lion by Jon Meacham
