Welcome to First Grade. I am looking forward to working with everyone to
make this an exciting, successful year for the students. Following are some
important reminders for first grade.
*If there is a change of plans to how your child will go home, you must send
in a note.
*We order from Scholastic Book Club throughout the year. You are under no
obligation to order books. If you are paying by check, please make it out to
the book company.
*If your child is absent, I will make every attempt to send home the missed
work with the child listed on the homework buddy form you filled out at the
beginning of the year.
*An excuse for any absence is expected to be brought to school when your
child returns.
*Check your calendars for upcoming events.
*Please read the homework and discipline policies sent home with your child.
If you have any questions or concerns, please contact me. You should go over
these policies periodically with your child so they are aware that we are
working together to help them succeed in first grade.
*You can e-mail me with any questions or concerns. However, it is difficult
sometimes to check my e-mail during the day. If you have a concern that
needs my immediate attention, please send in a note or call the school.
