Course Descriptions

Honors Precalculus
Pre-calculus is a course designed to provide students with a more enriched
algebra background to prepare for Calculus and other college level math
courses, as well as math placement tests. Topics include the complex number
system, integer and rational exponents, operations on polynomials, factoring,
rational expressions, radicals, exponential and logarithmic functions.

Trigonometry
Trigonometry develops methods for indirect measurement and solving related
problems. The techniques learned in this course have applications in
engineering, surveying, navigation, electronics, architecture, and other
fields of science. Trigonometry topics include the six basic trig functions,
solutions of right and oblique triangles, radian measure, graphs of trig
functions, inverse trig functions, trig identities, and trig equations.
Analytic Geometry topics include the rectangular coordinate plane, graphs of
linear, quadratic, domain and range, and conic sections.
