Objectives
To increase the students' understanding and appreciation paintings
created by others.
To help students gain the knowledge, skill, and confidence needed to
improve their own painting efforts.
Homework
Each student is responsible to hand in a total of ten outside drawings per
quarter from direct observation.
Prerequisites
Drawing and grade eleven or twelve.
Units of Study
Watercolor, tempera, and acrylic paints will be used to refine skills in
color theory, painting techniques, portraiture, landscape, still life, and
mural painting.
Evaluation
The final grade is an average of the homework, projects, and activity
grades.
