Hello Everyone! My name is Mrs. Pikas and I am a Social Studies teacher at
Wyoming Area. I teach American Cultures -9 Honors, American Cultures-9, and
World Cultures-10. Also, I am the head girls varsity swim coach. Currently,
I am in my 8thyear teaching at Wyoming Area. I have also taught 7th and 8th
grade social studies in the past. I graduated high school from Pittston Area,
Class of 1999, and am a graduate of College Misericordia, Class of 2003. I
received my Bachelors degree in History. I graduated with my Master's degree
from Wilkes University in May 2007 with a degree in Classroom Technology.
Continuing education is key in a teacher's life, and I am always enrolling in
new graduate courses. In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my
husband Bryan, my dog Bebe, family, and friends, shopping, walking, bike
riding, and traveling.
My mission for the class to have students learn about history and government
and enjoy it! Learning can be fun, and I wish to extend my love of history
to my students.
