This is now my 36th year as a special education teacher. I graduated in 1976
from what was then called Lock Haven State College and received certification
in Special Education grades K to 12, and Elementary. My employment began
with LIU #18 as a Jr./Sr. High Special Education Teacher and I was placed in
the Lake-Lehman School District. I then transferred to the Wyoming Area
School District as an Elementary Special Education teacher. I have taught all
grades Kdg. to 12th, but my heart and passion is with the younger children.
My husband Michael and I live in Exeter and have been happily married for 32
years. We have raised two great young men; Michael and Bryan. Both boys are
married and we were blessed to receive to wonderful daughter-in-laws. Michael
and Lindy live in Phonexville, PA and Bryan and Bethany live in Doylestown, PA.
I am very active with my church, the Wyoming Methodist Church, as well as Irem
Steward's Ladies.
I love my job and I really enjoy family time and gatherings with friends.
I firmly believe all students can learn, but I also know that this learning
occurs at different rates and with the need to use different teaching
modalities.
I find that it is necessary to wear many hats and to be available at all
times. I will do everything within my power to help each of my students feel
good about themselves and to experience academic growth.
