Hi! I'm Katie Hess and I love teaching kindergarten at
Brandywine Heights Elementary School. I grew up in Kutztown and I graduated from
Kutztown High School. Then in 2002, I graduated from
Millersville University with degrees in Elementary and Early Childhood
Education. I have a Masters Degree in Early Childhood Education from
Millersville University. I recently completed graduate courses through
Kutztown University to become certified as a Reading Specialist. Before coming
to Brandywine, I taught first grade for three years in Lancaster for Penn
Manor School District.
My husband and I are the proud parents of our three-year old daughter, Mary
Elizabeth. We also have two crazy golden retrievers named Gracie and Midas!
In my spare time I like to be outdoors, take digital photos, play the piano,
do ZUMBA, shop, and spend time with my husband and family. I also LOVE to read
and can usually be found with a good book!
