Meet Mrs. Bloom

I was born in Philadelphia and lived there until I was in 10th grade.
My family moved to East Norriton, and I attended Norristown High School.

I always knew I wanted to be a teacher. As a little girl, I always played
school in my basement with the neighborhood kids. When I graduated from high
school, I went to Millersville University with a dual major: Elementary
Education and Special Education. Then I got my master's degree from Kutztown
University. In 1987, I received my Elementary Principal Certification from
Lehigh University. I have worked in the Brandywine Area School District since
1975. Yes, that is a very long time!

I married my husband, David, right out of college. We have been married
for 36 years. We have two girls, Amy and Lisa plus two awesome son-in-laws. I
am a grandma(Grandma Rue) to a little baby boy, Jack. He is now walking. Very
exciting!!!

We live in the Huff's Church area which is part of the Brandywine Area
School District. My husband built a log house about 30 years ago at the end of
a very long dirt lane. We have a golden retriever, Emma, and two outdoor
cats: Mr. Kitty and Sweetie.

My Teaching Goal

My goal is to help each child in my class to reach his/her full potential.
