About The Teacher

EDUCATION:

B.S. Health and Physical Education, West Chester State University
M.S. Physical Educaton, The Pennsylvania State Universtiy
M.Ed. Counseling, St. Bonaventure University

I've been teaching Health and Physical Education since 1973. I started
teaching at Lower Dauphin School District outside of Hershey, PA. While I
was at Lower Dauphin I taught Jr. and Sr. High Physical Education and Sr.
High Health. I also coached 3 sports ; field hockey,
basketball, and soft ball.

I moved to Bradford in 1978 after marrying a Bradford native, Dr. Edward
Ross, a licensed psychologist. At the time he was the guidance counselor at
School Street Junior High School. I filled in maternity leaves and
sabbaticals and became a full-time employee of the Bradford Area School
District in 1986.

We have one son, Aaron, a Bradford High Graduate, class of 2000. He
graduated from Penn State in May, 2005 with a dual major in Psychology and
Kinesiology, the study of the human body in motion, While at Penn State he
was a member of Penn State's Mens Track Team and competed in the 35 lb.
indoor weight, discus, and hammer. During his senior year he was honored by
being selected one of the co-captains of the team. He received an M.Ed. in
Sports Psychology in May, 2008 from Temple University,a combination of both
his parents' careers. This fall he will begin a doctoral program in the same
area at Temple.
