All students present are responsible for copying their homework every day.
This is one way I excourage them to develop responsibility as well as prepare
them for any note taking that may occur in the upper grades. Homework is put
on the board daily after lunch and reviewed. All students have plenty of time
to copy their homework and I accomodate those children who are out of the
room at this time for some reason. If your child is taking more than 1 hour
to complete homework, including studying,let me know so we can work together
to make this time period a less consuming experience.Homework should
reinforce what has been learned in school and not be unfamiliar to the
student.
Please call the office/classroom if your child is absent in the morning and I
will send homework to the office or home with a sibling if needed. Sign or
initial the "Homework Assignment" page every night and this page and the
calendar on weekends. This is part of your child's daily homework assignment.
