I have been teaching Pre-school/Kindergarten for 31 years.I have taught
kindergarten at PJPII for a total of 21 years. I returned 10 years ago to
teach 3rd grade for a year and returned to my true love Kinder 9 years ago.I
love the activity level of the Kinder room.
My husband Tom and I have four great children- three girls and one boy
and a baby granddaughter Kylie Elizabeth.
Erin graduated from Cabrini ,Lauren graduated from Shippensburg and
Caitlyn graduated from Penn State .
My son,Kevin is a sophomore at Bishop Shanahan.
The education that our son received at PJPII was wonderful and I am
thrilled to be teaching Kindergarten here at PJPII . The Faculty and Staff
are the best!
The children and parents are the best gifts of all! Thanks for making my job
fun.
I have several goals for my classroom. The first goal is for every child to
feel loved, enabling them to build their self-esteem. The second goal is to
provide opportunities in which the children develop gross motor skills, fine
motor skills, math concepts,language arts and social behavior.
My philosophy of education correlates with the goals I have for my
classroom. The students are expected to take an active role in their
learning. The classroom is child-centered and active. The children are
engaged in meaningful activities, working individually and in small
groups.Centers are used and reflect the theme being studied. Individual
growth is the goal.
