How much homework should my fifth grader have?

Homework is practice and reinforcememt of the skills and concepts

that the students learn during the school day. Your child should
be
working 30 to 40 minutes each night(average). Many factors can
influence this time amount, including how much the student
completes
during the school day, the rate at which the child works or the
environment in which he or she is working. Please let me know if
you
feel the amount of homework is not right for your child.
