Homework

Read nightly for at least 20 minutes.  You can always read longer!  
Students are required to read 5 nights total.  This leaves room for those 
nights that are just too hectic.  By Friday the log should have 5 nights of 
reading, Name and Week of _______ filled in, and parent signature.  These 
will be graded and the grade will be averaged into the reading grade.
 
Spelling:
Monday: Word Sort - Ask your child to explain to you why the words are 
sorted in a particular way.  Sort them again as fast as possible.

Tuesday: Draw and Label - Your child will illustrate the meaning and label 
them with the spelling word.

Wednesday: Cursive - Write the spelling words twice in best cursive.

Thursday:  Rainbow - Use at least 3 colors - write your words (one color on 
top of the next)
