 Preguntas

Before you ask, here are some answers to questions you might have.
  1. What's the best way to contact Mrs. Zaubi?
  2. When and how long is extra help?
  3. How should I prepare for a test or quiz?
  4. What should I do if I fail a quiz or test?
  5. When do I make up &/or turn in work after excused absences?

What's the best way to contact Mrs. Zaubi?

Students are welcomed to ask questions before, during or after class. For
fullest attention to question, after class is recommended.
Parents are encouraged to contact Mrs. Zaubi via email rather than by phone.
Emails are checked more frequently and responses are faster.

When and how long is extra help?

Extra help is offered every Thursday from 3-4 PM or by appointment scheduled
with Mrs. Zaubi before or after class.

Extra help can last between 15 minutes or the full hour. If you know
where you are having trouble in Spanish, extra help should not take more
   than 15-20 minutes.
If you arrive and there is a line of students wanting extra help, please
write the time you arrived on the sign-in sheet so that you will be
assited in a prompt and fair manner. While waiting you can review problem
areas that need assitance, review past quizzes or tests by accessing them
from your assessment portfolio, or work on the assigned Spanish homework
due the next day. Please do not visit with friends while waiting as it is
   distracting and inconsiderate.
If you cannot anticipate the length of extra help and are in need of a
ride home, you may just want to schedule the full hour and utilize any
extra time with the suggestions above or as a study hall.

How should I prepare for a test or quiz?

Preparation is key! If you begin studying for assessment in increments of 10-
20 minutes at a time, than the night before will be a quick and easy review.

Remember Jeopardy is the best review. Every Thursday a Jeopardy review is
played in class. This review can be accessed from the main page under the
link "Jeopardy" and the corresponding class. Participation in class is key
and students are recommended to record an answer key to the review useful
for an at home review.

What should I do if I fail a quiz or test?

If a student fails anything in class, the best advice is to come to the next
extra help session or schedule an appointment with Mrs. Zaubi. Although all
assessment items and assignments are reviewed in class, sometimes a one-on-
one approach is more beneficial.

When do I make up &/or turn in work after excused absences?

An assignments missed during excused absences should be turned in after the
equal amount of days absent has passed. Any assessment items missed during
excused absences need to be rescheduled with Mrs. Zaubi. Any projects missed
during excused absences should also be rescheduled with Mrs. Zaubi unless
student arrives on the date the project is due. The project is due on the
due date (no exceptions) unless absent on day assigned.
For further details on policies, see the "NOTAS" page.
