I graduated with a BA from Butler University and a MA from Ball State
University in Indiana. I have been an administrator and teacher for over 25
years in both the secondary and college arena. I was the director at Trident
Academy, a school for students with learning disabilities, and over the years
I have spoken at numerous national and international symposiums about
teaching English to learning disabled students. I also
teach "Entrepreneurship" classes for the College of Charleston and Clemson.
My husband and I live on the Isle of Palms, and we have two sons who recently
graduated from USC.
Because of my love for English, my goal is to help all of my students
appreciate English and become more confident as they grow academically.
