A new year--a new semester!
In Jr. A1 we are focusing on punctuation and pronouns along with the Romantic
unit in literature. I am in the process of grading research papers. Some were
completed and returned in Dec. and a few in early January. I hope to have all
returned by the end of January. The grade counts twice in the 70% category.
This semester is more heavily oriented around literature with some important
studies in grammar. Let's keep in touch to assure a positive semester for the
students!
In AP Lang. students are reviewing their exam performance to better hone their
writing skills. January will be spent gathering research materials for the
oral argumentative presentation to be given starting the end of February. Ask
your child what he/she is researching and see if you can have a discussion
around the dinner table!
