What is TLC art? It stands for Teaching Children Listening. We need to prepare our students to listen and follow directions. They will be asked throughout life to perform these skills. This art program helps children to develop these skills through a fun art activity. The end result will be an ABC book for them to keep AND listening skills for them to keep. We take squares and rectangles of different colored papers and turn them into animals, people or objects simply by cutting according to the directions. Each week we will do an activity beginning with the letter sound for that week. We will read some non-fiction books about these animals or people to begin introducing factual books to our students and to add to our knowledge bank.
