All about Mrs. Holden
I am certified to teach Early Childhood, Elementary
Education and Gifted and Talented Education. I earned my Bachelors of Arts in
Education from the University of South Carolina Upstate and a Masters of Arts
in Education from Furman University in Early Childhood. I am currently working
on my Masters plus 30 in Administration and Leadership at Furman University.
I taught First Grade and Kindergarten for several
years in Greenville County before transferring to District 2 to teach
Kindergarten. This will be my fifth year teaching Kindergarten at BSES with
Mrs. Marlowe by my side.

My Mission and
Philosophy for the Classroom
I believe that childhood is a unique and valuable
stage in one's life. My principle responsibility is to create an environment
that fosters children's social, emotional, cognitive, and physical
development. I am committed to the support of children's education; respecting
each child as an individual with unique qualities, abilities, and talents; and
helping children to cooperatively learn to live, play, and work in a safe and
nurturing environment!

My Right Hand
I could not do what I do without the assistance of
Mrs. Melissa Marlowe. She is my right hand and I am grateful for her
assistance, guidance, and direction in our classroom. Melissa is married to
Caleb and they are expecting their first child in December. They have one dog
named Lucy. Melissa was a student here at BSES from Kindergarten to the fourth
grade. Melissa is currently working on her degree in Early Childhood. When she
is not working in the classroom with me, she is tutoring students in the after
school program here at BSES.

My parents home in Apalachicola Florida is my
