Math/ALEKS

If your account is saying that it is ‘expired’ here are the steps necessary to take.   In order to keep any work already completed, students will need to carefully follow the directions below:

  1. On the lower left hand corner they will have to click on a register button.
  2. Once they click on the register button students will be asked to re-enter their old course code. (your child's code will be listed below on this page)
  3. If prompted to enter a subscription type, select “K12-12 Month”
  4. Your teacher will then have to authorize you.
  5. From there the child should be able to continue with the ALEKS program.

Troubleshooting:

  1. Make sure you type the correct website: www.aleks.com
  2. Be sure that you have updated/downloaded all ALEKS plug-ins required to run the program.

Congratulations to the 5th Grade Math Teams!

This past weekend twelve 5th grade students participated in the 1st annual 5th Grade Mathematics Competition sponsored by Dent Middle School and Chick-fil-A. There were approximately 150 students who participated and 38 teams. Awards were given in two categories – individual and team. CFK won four out of the six awards given. Congratulations to Emily Elliott for winning 3rd place in the individual competition and Gracie Boyce for winning 2nd place in the individual competition. In the team competition, Trey Asmer, Pranav Bellukutty, Emily Elliott, and Gracie Boyce came in 3rd place. We also had Rahithya Meda, Virginia Eberlin, Henry Kohel, and Tristan Quinn come in 1st place in the team round. I’d also like to thank Mr. Kumar for coaching the kids! Awesome job, CFK!      - Mrs. Els
