I have many fond memories of when I was in Elementary School. If it was not for my third and sixth grade teachers I probably would not be doing what I am. They made learning fun and got me excited to come to school each and every day! One thing I will never forget about the fifth grade was participating in a great pumpkin carving contest. This was a fifth grade tradition and I always remember seeing them every year when I was younger and I remember finally being so excited to be a fifth grader because I got to do one of my own. It is my hope to rekindle this tradition from my past to CFK. I would like the kids to begin brainstorming for this event! I am looking for creativity! I am going to get some teachers to be the judges. We will have a Grand prize, 1st, 2nd, and 3rd prize winners. When I was in fifth grade I made Mrs. Pots and Chip from Beauty and the Beast and I came away with the Grand Prize.
Come Participate in the 5th annual
Great Pumpkin Carving Contest!

Winners will be announced Tuesday, November 1st!
