I have been teaching for 15 years.My career began in middle school where I
taught Honors Math. I taught 4th and 5th graders in the ALERT
program in Richland 2. Presently, I teach second grade at CFK and truly enjoy
every minute of it.
I am the proud wife of Richard Garner, and we are parents to a wonderful son
and daughter, Jaiden and Mykala. As a family, we enjoy spending time with
our dog Winston.
I believe that every child is a unique individual who needs a secure, caring
and engaging environment to grow academically and socially. I believe that
every child has the potential to bring something special to the world,and it
is my job as an educator to provide opportunities for my students to share
those ideas as we learn and discover new things. For me, teaching is a
process of lifelong learning. As your child's teacher, it is my job to
provide innovative ways to encourage the use higher order thinking skills as
learning takes place. For me, teaching is truly an exciting adventure to
embark on each school year.
