The agreements listed below are those which the students feel are needed, in
order for students in the classroom to "learn and enjoy" school each day.
1. Treat others with respect.
2. Follow directions.
3. Be safe.
4. Take care of our classroom and CCES.
Students will be reminded of the various levels of classroom behaviors listed
below. When a student fails to comply with the above agreements, they will be
asked to reflect on the rule they are not following and the level at which
they are performing. It is my hope that students will make the necessary
changes to improve their behavior. This behavior plan separates the child
from the behavior and empowers students to make "good choices"! Below are
Marvin Marshall's four levels in the hierarchy of social development.
LEVEL D Democracy
Develops self-discipline
Shows kindness to others
Develops self-reliance
Does well because it is the
"right thing to do"! -
The motivation is INTERNAL
LEVEL C Cooperation
Listens
Cooperates
Does what is expected but...
motivation behind behavior is external
- what will I get?
LEVEL B Bothersome
Bothers othes
Bosses others
Breaks classroom agreements
Needs to be told to behave
LEVEL A Anarchy
Unsafe
Noisy
Out of control
