I graduated from Appalachain State University where I received a
degree in Early Childhood. I began my teaching career in Charlotte, N.C.
and attended the Univ. of N.C./Charlotte where I received a Master's degree
in Reading and Administration. I am married and we are blessed with two
wonderful "grown" children. In 1998 we relocated to Greenville and I
began teaching Primer at Christ Church. This will be my 14th year at CCES
and my 32nd year in the classroom! I am an Orton - Gillingham trained tutor
and received the Christ Church Daniel-Mickel Master Teacher Award in 2004-
2005.
I consider teaching and learning to be a passion (as well as a hobby)
of mine. In my spare time I enjoy reading and researching new strategies and
growing as a learner! I also love spending time with my family, traveling,
gardening, bird watching and reading.
Being a Primer teacher at Christ Church is truly a blessing. I continue
to be challenged to grow as an educator, and I embrace the opportunity CCES
provides for me to grow spiritually. How lucky I am!
I look forward to getting to know the parents of my "precious Primers"

parent involvement!
