Assistant Headmaster
I am enjoying my duties as Assistant Headmaster, but I am not stepping
away from teaching duties. I love teaching high school students; every day
is a new adventure.
Despite the many hours at school, I do have a home life! My husband and I
live in Vance and treasure the time that we spend with our children Andy
(and Lauren, his bride,) both graduates of College of Charleston; David, a
graduate of the masters program at Clemson (Go, Tigers!) and his new bride
Ashley; and Whitney, a graduate of Winthrop University, who will marry her
sweetheart Stephen, on September 10,
2011. We are proud to be grandparents of little Lawton Bleakley Brown, born
to Andy and Lauren on November 7, 2010.
Our primary focus is to prepare students for the college classroom and
beyond by developing critical reading, thinking, and writing skills that
will help them not only in English classes, but across the curriculum as
well.
