I graduated from USC with a BS degree in English Education. I am also
certified in Math. I attended The Citadel where I earned a Masters Degree
in School Guidance.
I grew up in Blackville, SC, and returned there to teach for seven years. I
moved to Aiken and taught at Midland Valley High School for two years. I
moved to Summerville in 1982 and taught at Berkeley High School for one
year, then transferred to Stratford High School where I worked as a math
teacher and a guidance counselor for 27 years. I retired from Berkeley
County in 2006. My husband,Jerry, and I live at Rocks Pond. We have 3
children and four grandchildren.
My mission is for all students to develop an understanding of basic math
principles and to not be intimidated by math.
