I was born in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. I moved to Spartanburg when I
was fourteen years old. I attended Dawkins Middle School and Dorman High
School. After high school, I attended the University of South Carolina in
Columbia. There I recieved a BA Degree in Psychology with a minor in Early
Childhood Education. After recieving my degree from USC, I decided to go to
Converse College where I earned my masters in Early Childhood Education.
I started teaching at Ford Elementary School in Laurens County in August
of 2001. I taught at Ford Elementary until 2007 when I left to come to
Pauline-Glenn Springs Elemenatry. I have been teaching First Grade for
eight years and I love every minute of it.
In 2004, I married my husband Robert and we made our home in Cedar
Springs. My husband is also in education. He taught Physical Science for
several years and coached football. He has now moved into administration.
We have one daughter, Madolyn, and she is three years old. She is the
joy of our lives. We are expecting our second child which is a little boy in
September. We also have two dogs. We enjoy spending time with our
family and friends. We also enjoy going to football games and watching
movies.
