How many books can I check out?

3K - Kindergarten = 1 book
1st - 5th Grade = 2 books
6th - 12th Grade = 3 books unless arrangements have been made with the media
specialist

How long can I keep my book(s)?

Lower school students may keep their book(s) for up to a week.  If books are
not returned on time, then new books can not be checked out. Upper school
students may keep their books for up to two weeks. If your books are due, and
you are still reading them, just bring them by the check out desk to renew them.

What Happens if My Book Gets Lost or Damaged?

You are responsible for taking care of your books keeping your books in a safe
place. When you are not reading your books, keep them in your book bag. If a
book is lost or damaged beyond repair, you are responsible for paying for the
book.

What is AR?

AR is short for Accelerated Reader.  This is a computer program where students
read books and take a test that accesses their comprehension of the story.
Students earn points based on the book's word count, reading difficulty, and
accuracy on the test.

When are bookfairs?

The Media Center has two bookfairs each school year.  The first bookfair will
be in November, and the second bookfair will be in early fall.
