Attention Parents and Students:
Students in Algebra IA and Honors Geometry will need the
following supplies:
1 inch 3-ring notebook
notebook paper
3 subject dividers
pencils
graphing calculator (nice to have, but any calculator would be helpful)
If you are able to purchase one of the following graphing calculators, please
know that it will be usuable throughout all of a student's high school math
career:
Texas Instruments 84
Texas Instruments 84-Plus
The cost increases as the model number goes up...these calculators are on
sale during August and September at stores such as Staples, Office Max,
Office Depot, and Walmart. The costs ranges from about $89 to $119. Many of
the stores have rebates in the fall; I think that Walmart is the only store
that does not have a rebate, so comparison shop.
Remember, that you can view your student's grades through the PowerSchool
system if you get a password. Please note that grades on quizzes and tests
will be posted within 7 days of the day they were administered, and grades on
projects and papers will be posted within 14 days of the day they were
submitted.
