Hi! I am Carissa Comer. I have been teaching twenty three years in the Putnam County
School System. I am married to Jeff and our children are : a son, Christopher who is married to
Korie, our daughter-in-law, and our daughter Meredith. Meredith works as a Respiratory Therapist at
White County Hospital.
We have a precious granddaughter born September 13, 2011-Kinley Marie Comer.
We have two pets: Maggie- black lab mix dog brought home as a puppy from the
pound by Meredith and Callie Cat-a stray kitten who showed up at our door and Meredith HAD to
feed her!
In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my family, reading, running and riding
bikes. I love being outdoors and the warm sunshine! I love sitting in a chair reading by the ocean!
I also love finding new and exciting things to teach!
I hope to instill a love for learning that will last a lifetime. It is important to know that we all build on
small successes. Maintaining a child's self-esteem and building a secure foundation in all skills
learned! We want to experience fun and excitement while learning! We will always show respect, love
and kindness toward others.
