Thank you for visiting our school website. This is our opportunity to introduce you to our exceptional school. School has different meanings for different people, but school is where dreams are cultivated; for some, it is where dreams begin. As parents we dream of our children achieving all the good that life has to offer. Their behavior toward others is always honorable with character that cares and is generous. They recognize that every individual is unique and possesses talents, gifts, and abilities different from their own. We dream that our children will be fair in their dealings with others, and that failure is acknowledged not as defeat but as a part of life that can lead to victory. They are without condemnation and judgment. They are very wise, but they choose to see only the good; although they recognize the bad, they reject it. They desire a world of peace, knowing that only they can be instruments to demonstrate to others that peace. They speak evil of no man. They are truthful, honest, just, pure, lovely, and report those things that are good. We are proud of what we want them to become, but they must learn to dream for themselves.
Apison Elementary School is a place where dreams are cultivated; and for some, it is where dreams begin. As educators who partner with parents, we strive to create an environment that allows each child to dream of all the possibilities that life can offer. We teach them to read so they can think deeply about the issues of life and communicate to others their convictions in conversation and writing. We want to nurture the dreams their families have for them, and provide a school culture where a community can be formed that celebrates each individual with respect and dignity.
As partners together in your child’s education, what we do at home and at school either cultivates or disregards the dreams we have for them and the potential for the dreams we want them to create. Apison Elementary School joins with you in nurturing all the possibilities of your child’s life. I wish for you and your child an enriched and rewarding school year.
