I am so excited for another school year! During my nine years in the
classroom I have taught 1st, 2nd, and 4th grades. This is my third year
teaching at ATES. I love Atoka Elementary School! I have been married for 12
years to Jason and we have two sons, Matthew (4th grade) and Evan (3rd
grade). We have a cat named Sir James the Cat.
I am originally from Middle Tennessee and graduated with my BS from
Freed-Hardeman University in 1997 and with my M.Ed. from Union
University in 2010.
My birthday is October 22nd. I collect Willow Tree figurines and I love
Scentsy (Kahiko Hula and Honey Pear Cider are my favorites scents), anything
monogramed, Tervis tumblers and Target. As a family we love to attend UT
football games in Knoxville and vacation in NYC, New York, Miramar Beach,
Florida and Gatlinburg, TN.
I believe that all children have the right to a quality education. It is my
job to adequately prepare, enthusiastically present, and fairly evaluate the
curriculum according to the standards mandated by the state of Tennessee. I
love children and I love teaching them.
