characterization & improvisation.

Around Battle...
The new members of the SGA Safety Patrol
started their duties, 4th grade e3 students were incredibly excited about the
activity Ms. King introduced to them, and Mrs. Turner made friends with one of
Battle's youngest family members (he's only 12 days old!) all in one short
hour on January 12.
PLAYGROUND USE AFTER SCHOOL
Please remember that School Age Child Care uses
our playgrounds between 3:30pm and 6:00pm. Children not in SACC may not be on
the playground during those times. We appreciate your cooperation as we
follow our guidelines; children not in SACC and their families are welcome to
use the south end of our campus for after-school play.
"In the end, there is no program or
policy that can substitute for a mother or father who will attend those
parent-teacher conferences, or help with homework after dinner, or turn off
the TV, put away the video games, and read to their child."
--President Barack Obama, 2/24/09
Parents, please look at our dress code on
the Downloads tab and make sure your kids are in uniform each day. Undershirts,
if worn, must be white; children wearing other colors will be asked to
remove them. Shoes should be designed for a busy day rather than for fashion;
it's a busy day in a big building and on the playground, so shoes must be
tied at all times. Backless shoes, sandals, open-toe shoes, and boots are
not allowed for safety reasons. Thanks for helping us as we begin a new school
year! As the weather changes and jackets are needed, please remind your
children that outerwear may not be worn outside their classrooms except
at recess. Hooded sweatshirts are not allowed.
